Beyond my wildest dreams ...

When we let go of fear, only then, can we gracefully move from what was, into the miracle of what can be. . .

This phrase greeted me this morning, on the prayer application of facebook. Reading it reminded me of all of the miracles that Jesus has blessed me with. Not only the miracles, but it also brought back the memories of learning to lean on the Everlasting Arms a little more than I had before. During those times, when we let go of fear, it is then that we begin to walk by faith.

When Bro. James Hughes was here recently, he spoke about faith. He told us that an original meaning of the word faith is, "The conviction of the truth of something." Faith is not a fuzzy feeling that life's situations will be wonderful and beautiful. It is not a feeling at all. It is the ability to "Stand still and know that He is God." Because we are convicted of the truth of God's omniscience, omnipresence, omnipotence and greatest of all, His love for us, how can we not trust ourselves completely and totally to His care?

Our natural reaction is to pull back - to hide in our shells, rather than taking the chance that God wants to do something great in us and through us. This is how my journey into the fascinating world of Chinese began ... a journey of a lifetime ... one that is truly beyond my wildest and most wonderful dreams ... a story that I will relate at a later time, as yard works is calling my name at present. ^-^
