Wow, these last few days have been full of excitement and full of activity. Yesterday was a very productive day as I, with the help of the Lord and Sis. Bracken, was able to register, obtain an ID number, get pics taken for id cards, withdraw money from a Chinese atm, open a student account for tuition and such and take a placement test. We left the house at 8:30am and didn't return until 5:30 ... loooooong day. But thanks to God that everything went 很顺利, or very smoothly/without a hitch.
Today was also busy .. we went with a girl from the Gaoxiong church for her to sign the papers on her apartment in a city nearby. This young lady went to college in this city for six years and is now moving back there because of her burden for the Chinese living there. Presently, there is no church in that city. The Brackens will be working with her to start a new work. The process isn't quick but God is faithful. Please continue to pray for the people here ... We are so blessed to know who Jesus is.
I sent my first text in Chinese tonight! It was super cool and exciting ... although I did have to ask the Brackens for a little help as this phone writes in traditional, and I'm used to simplified. But, as they say here, 没有关系, or "It doesn't matter/it's okay/it's fine."
So, I really need to go to bed ... it's 11:20pm here on Friday night and I have to get up at 5:00am because we need to go to the wedding early and it's almost an hour away so I must bid you all a goodnight.

Hey there, this is Matthew from Davis. I see you have had alot to write about and it hasn't even been a week. I will try and see Cesar and Ekate later this week and will tell them about checking out the blog. So do you have rice with every meal or is that just a generalization? I'll send some prayers your way, maybe I'll pray that everthing goes 很顺利. So have you though about getting one of those umbrella to protect you from the sun?
